200 People Protest Ford's 180 On Bala Falls
Over 200 demonstrators gathered in Bala on Saturday calling on Premier Doug Ford to keep his promise to cancel the Swift River Small Hydro project at the Bala Falls.
Ford made an announcement earlier in the week in Milton saying cancelling the project "would cost an absolute fortune" and "leave a big hole in the ground."
A protest led by the Save The Bala Falls organizers saw more than 200 people assemble on the bridge at the falls calling for a meeting with the Premier and local MPP Norm Miller.
Ford said the cost to cancel the project would be $40-$100 Million.
