$6.7 Million To Be Spent Ugrading Water Treatment Plant
The Muskoka Beach Water Treatment Plant is getting some serious upgrades.
Muskoka District council approved a contract worth $4.5 million to W.S. Morgan during their latest council meeting.
The plant, located on Muskoka Beach Road in Gravenhurst, was commissioned in 1983 and upgraded in 2005. However, changes in provincial regulations mean the plant is currently only able to operate at about 40 percent of its capacity.
The total cost of the project is expected will be in the range of $6.7 million.
