72 Year-Old Man Charged With Having Open Container Of Liquor In His SUV
On Tuesday afternoon, Almaguin Highlands OPP responded to several traffic complaints involving a white sports utility vehicle.
Police say the driver of the vehicle was reported to be driving erratically shortly before he struck a guard rail near the Burk's Falls overpass.
The driver, 72 year-old Claude Fortier, of North Bay did not suffer any injuries, however he was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus),
- Operation while impaired - alcohol,
- Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor,
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday, October 10, 2019 in Sundridge, Ontario.
