89 New Housing Units Proposed In Bracebridge
A developer is looking to build a considerable new subdivision on Manitoba Street in Bracebridge.
Plans for the project were discussed at the latest District Council meeting.
Loon Call presented plans for the construction of 45 residential lots intended for single detached dwellings and 44 residential lots intended for townhouse dwellings. The subdivision is set to be located on two abutting properties at 529 Manitoba Street near the McCrank subdivision.
Plans were put forward for a similar subdivision in 2017 but ownership of the property has changed hands since then and the plans have since been altered.
During an earlier public meeting held in Bracebridge, several concerned residents expressed their anxiety over issues including increased traffic on Manitoba Street, servicing and potential drainage issues.
District Council will consider whether or not to approve the new subdivision at a later date.
