Active COVID-19 Cases Grows To 32 In Muskoka
There are 5 new cases of COVID-19 in Muskoka as reported by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit. One case is reported in Georgian Bay, one in Huntsville and three in Gravenhurst.
There are 32 active cases in Muskoka and three reported deaths since the pandemic started.
The health unit reported 392 new cases this week, which the health unit says is a growth rate of 1.5%, and if this rate continues, we could see 480 cases a week in mid January.
Nearly one-third of all active cases are among young adults 18-34 years. This age group has had the highest rate of infection since June, and the rate in November and December for this age group is double the rate in September and October.
