Aitchison becomes 6th official candidate in leadership race

Local MP, Scott Aitchison yesterday announced that he has been confirmed as a verified candidate in the upcoming leadership contest for the Conservative Party of Canada.

The announcement follows his submission of the entry free of $300,000 to the party, making him the sixth official candidate.

Aitchison, the former Huntsville Mayor was first elected as MP in 2019 and again in 2021. He served as labour critic in the last session of parliament.
