Booster Shots Now Available For Select Groups
The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit says COVID-19 booster shots is being expanded to all community clinics in the region starting today.
The health unit says the booster will provide an extra layer of protection against the virus, particularly the highly transmissible Delta variant, for individuals who are more at risk.
If you’re 70 and over, a healthcare worker or a designated essential caregiver in a congregate setting, as well as First Nations, Inuit or Métis, you’re now eligible for the shot.
Appointments for a booster shot can be made through the online provincial booking system.
