Bracebridge Becoming More Bike Friendly
There will be no shortage of places to park your bike in Bracebridge next year.
During the last general committee meeting, councillors heard that the Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Rotary Club has donated $5,000 to create new bike racks around town. Town staff are currently working with them to set up suitable locations.
On top of that, the Bracebridge BIA also has plans to build bike racks in Bird’s Mills Mews. Memorial Park and one more location to be determined.
The Town’s active transportation committee is also working on a project to create a bike rack corral for 2020. The idea of the corral is to set it up at an event and create an area that’s supervised so riders don't have to lock their bike up or worry about them while they attend a downtown event.
