Bracebridge hospital managing outbreak on Medical/Surgical beds
The South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) Site in Bracebridge is dealing with an outbreak impacting four inpatient rooms on the Medical/Surgical unit.
The hospital says that as the unit is not under outbreak, only the impacted patients are unable to have visitors except for in approved special circumstances.
President & CEO of the MAHC, Cheryl Harrison says “Family has been notified of the current limitations on visiting.”
Testing of patients and staff continues to occur as part of outbreak management protocols, and enhanced cleaning practices are underway to limit spread.
