Bracebridge Man Charged with Impaired Driving
A Bracebridge man has been fined after he was caught driving drunk with his dog in the vehicle. Dylan Bannerman appeared in court on Tuesday, where he pled guilty to drunk driving. When an officer stopped him in January, he exited the vehicle and claimed to be distracted by his dog, and some food he had purchased. The officer detected alcohol on Bannerman’s breath, and eventually discovered that he only had a G1 driver’s license. Bannerman and his dog were brought back to the detachment, where breath samples revealed a blood alcohol level of 152 milligrams. The court found him guilty. He is sentenced to a fine of $1500, and a one-year driving probation.
