Bracebridge Searches For Sharps At Area Beaches
The Town of Bracebridge announced on Friday that out of an abundance of caution, the town has temporarily closed Kirby’s Beach Park and Bracebridge Bay Park beach areas due to the potential for sharp objects in the sand, both in the water and on the beach.
The town said that divers from Scuba Shack based out of Gravenhurst, were conducting an underwater search and cleanup over the holiday weekend.
Town staff are reviewing the findings of the investigation to determine whether additional cleanup work is required
The Town continues to work with the O.P.P. to determine the source of materials andtThe public is asked to contact the Public Works Department at 705-645-5264 should they become aware of hazardous items or vandalism in Town parks.
