Bracebridge To Unveil Purple Benches To Raise Awareness Of Domestic Violence
This Thursday, the Town of Bracebridge plans to unveil one of three purple benches at Annie Williams Park to honour and support victims of domestic violence.
This initiative is in collaboration with the Barb's Benches Project and the Natalie Novak Fund for the Education & Prevention of Relationship Violence.
20 year old Natalie Novak from Bracebridge was murdered in an act of domestic violence.
A fundraiser honoring Novak was created and will be partially funding the three park benches to honour not only Natalie but two other women, Lindsay Wilson and Wendy Boland whose lives were taken in an act of domestic violence.
