Changes To Waste Collection In Muskoka
The District of Muskoka has announced changes to waste collection.
Going forward, in order to help protect the health and wellbeing of their staff, all garbage, recycling and green bin organic material must be bagged, sealed and securely placed inside bins.
The Dorset Transfer Station is closed and other transfer stations are currently open accepting cashless payments.
The Bracebridge Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off Facility is temporarily closed. Residents are encouraged to hold their household hazardous waste and not put it into their garbage or dump materials at closed facilities.
Longer delays may be experienced at sites due to restrictions on the number of people permitted in certain areas to ensure physical distancing. If you have curbside collection and your visit to a waste facility can wait, we recommend postponing your trip.
There are no changes to the schedule for curbside collection.
