Clement Gets Official Send Off From District Of Muskoka
Muskoka District Councilors took time out during their most recent meeting to thank MP Tony Clement.
Clement has represented the riding of Parry Sound - Muskoka federally as a member of the Conservative Party since 2006. Following a sexting scandal last fall he announced he would not be seeking re-election.
District Chair John Klinck and Huntsville Mayor Scott Aitchison both lauded Clement for his achievements at the local and federal levels.
Clement said it had been an honour to represent the region, and he thanked his constituents and Muskoka’s elected officials for working in a spirit of cooperation to help make the region a better place.
Council thanked Clement with a standing ovation.
