Get ready to raise your virtual auction paddles for inclusion in June.

Community Living Huntsville hosts Artists for Inclusion, an online auction of more than 50 fine art pieces contributed by renowned artists, craftspeople and donors, from June 14 to 30, 2021. Funds raised will help sustain Community Living Huntsville’s Pathways Program for adults, who live with developmental disabilities, but are deemed ineligible for government funding and support. The program, offered for free to individuals and families in need, relies on donations and fundraised dollars.

“Pathways offers hope to people and families who are, essentially, falling through the cracks,” says Jennifer Jerrett, Community Engagement Specialist for Community Living Huntsville. “Our Pathways Facilitator can help people, whether through navigating employment, housing and government supports, community participation opportunities and more, to plan and build the lives they want, so they can live, work and play in meaningful ways as an included and valued member of their community.”

Auction items include fine art paintings, drawings, stonework, fibre, mixed media, jewelry, photography, pottery and a handcrafted wood table. Contributors include Miranda Britton, Janine Marson, Rudi Stade, Shirley Prittie, Helena Renwick, Rob Stimpson, Terry Gill, and Marike MacDonald to name a few.

“Your auction bids will help ensure no one with developmental disabilities is left behind,” says Jerrett. “And you can purchase some one-of-a-kind art pieces.”

Auction items will be on public display at Community Living Huntsville’s Old Stone Schoolhouse, 99 West Rd., Huntsville, during the Huntsville Art Crawl, presented by the Huntsville Festival of the Arts, when COVID-19 public health measures allow.

Registration is now open on the auction site at galabid.com/clhuntsville.
