Deadline Approaching For Flood Assistance
Parry Sound-Muskoka MPP Norm Miller is reminding residents and small businesses who are eligible for Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians that they have a limited time to apply for assistance following this spring’s flooding.
The deadline for residents of the towns of Bracebridge and Huntsville and the Township of Muskoka Lakes to apply is August 29th. For the Townships of Ryerson and Armour and the Village of Burk’s Falls the deadline is September 11th.
The program is designed to help victims of natural disasters to get back on their feet. Eligible residents can apply for help with costs including emergency expenses, clean-up costs and repairs to or replacement of essential property at a primary residence.
