District Awards $5 Million Contract To Fowler
Fowler Construction locked up a trio of large contracts with the District of Muskoka during their latest council meeting.
On Tuesday, councillors agreed to three contracts for road work throughout the District at a cost of just under $5 Million.
The biggest contract was $3.8 Million for road work such as stabilization and high float surface treatment for a number of roads across the district. Roughly $1.2 Million of the cost will be picked up by the District, with the remainder being paid by the lower-tier municipalities, as part of a cost-sharing agreement.
A second contract for asphalt milling and paving on Fraserburg Road and Manitoba Street in Bracebridge was awarded for $648,000.
The third contract was $562,000 to replace Crockford Twin Culverts, which are also on Fraserburg Road in Bracebridge.
