District Bumps Meetings To Afternoons
The District of Muskoka has decided to bump their council meetings form the evening to the afternoon.
The meetings typically take place at 7 pm on the third Monday of every month in Bracebridge. However, during their most recent meeting, council decided to move the meetings to 3 pm on the same day.
The move is seen as a way to address the concerns of some councillors who drive more than an hour one-way to attend meetings.
Huntsville Mayor Scott Atchison said that while he didn't have a problem with the change, he felt that it could be a hindrance for anyone who has to hold down a job and still attend daytime meetings.
