District Gets $1.5 Million In Funding for Homelessness Relief
The District of Muskoka has received $1.5 million in funding to tackle homelessness in the area. They say that the money will provide homeless people, or people who are at risk of homelessness, necessary housing and support services.
The district made the announcement today, saying that they’re working on a housing project that will include affordable housing units, and space for support service agencies.
The location of the project is on Pine Street in Bracebridge, and the district says the project should be finished by 2022.
