The District of Muskoka has passed its 2020 budget Tuesday, coming in with a 1.9 per cent increase, which promises to keep existing service levels and continue to invest in capital improvements and social services.

The increase will cost the average homeowner an additional $16.86 a year on a home valued at $300,000

District Council approved a $128,222,683 million tax-supported operating expenditure budget earlier this week.

Council also approved the 2020 rate-supported operating budget and capital budget and forecast for Solid Waste Management and Water and Wastewater services in December 2019.
