District Nixes Proposal For New Administration Office At Rosewarne Landfill
A proposal to build a new $2.4 million administrative office, garage and scale house at the Rosewarne landfill was torpedoed by District council on Monday evening.
The District’s engineering and public works committee had considered the project, but felt the cost per square foot was simply too high.
The proposed new facility was to be located at the Rosewarne Drive landfill and would have included several washrooms, offices, laundry facilities, a lunch/meeting room and a wash bay for vehicles.
Staff were asked to revisit the project and find costs efficiencies wherever possible.
