District of Muskoka Lifts State of Emergency
The District of Muskoka has officially lifted a state of emergency. They reported Monday afternoon that the Township of Muskoka Lakes is the only municipality in the region still in a state of emergency. District Chair John Klinck says that the district will continue to offer flood relief and aid with recovery efforts happening across Muskoka. Klinck thanked volunteers and community members who assisted with flood relief efforts. Transport Canada says that their no-go order remains in effect on Lake Muskoka and the Muskoka River for boats and other vessels.
