
Driver charged after hitting parked cars
On Saturday afternoon, a Bracebridge resident called the OPP to report a vehicle that drove into their yard and hit two park cars. The home owner was able to block the vehicle to stop the driver from leaving the scene.
Officers attended an address on Hiram Street in Bracebridge and determined the vehicle was stolen from Toronto.
Police say the driver, 31 year-old James Tsanoff of Tillsonburg Ontario was never licensed to operate a motor vehicle.
Tsanoff was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime over $5000
- Dangerous Operation
- Obstruct Peace Officer
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Driving vehicle with cannabis readily available
Tsanoff was held in custody for a bail hearing on Sunday.
