FedNor Makes $5 Million Investment In The Region

The Government of Canada made a funding announcement of more than $5 million this morning at Muskoka Brewery in Bracebridge.

The FedNor funding will support several organizations including projects at Muskoka Brewery, Tooketree Passive Homes, Main St. Local Kitchen, Muskoka Futures, Muskoka Lakes Chamber of Commerce, Muskoka Tourism, Explorers Edge and the YWCA Muskoka.

Patty Hajdu, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour who made the announcement says “This funding will help start and grow businesses through productivity improvements, new equipment and technology, training, mentoring and access to capital.”

Bob MacDonald, co-owner Muskoka Brewery said “Today is a great day for Muskoka Brewery. Thanks to this investment, we have been able to boost production to meet increasing demand and I am extremely proud to announce that we are now one of the largest independent craft breweries in Canada.”
