Gravenhurst Couple Receive Heritage Award
A Gravenhurst couple were honoured at the Lieutenant Governor’s Ontario Heritage Awards on Friday.
The awards, which were presented by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, recognized individuals, groups and communities for exceptional contributions to conserving Ontario’s heritage.
During the awards ceremony Cyril and Marion Fry of Gravenhurst, received the Lieutenant Governor’s Ontario Heritage Award for Lifetime Achievement.
The Fry’s were presented the award by the Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario and Harvey Andrew McCue, Chair of the Ontario Heritage Trust. On hand for this special occasion were family members, Gravenhurst Mayor Paul Kelly, District Councillor Sandy Cairns, and members of the Gravenhurst Municipal Heritage Committee.
