Gravenhurst Offers Community Improvement Grants
The Gravenhurst Community Improvement Plan program which assists building and business owners in Gravenhurst’s downtown core has returned for its seventh year. The program helps property owners improve the look and viability of their buildings through a number of grant opportunities.
Since the program’s inception, over $250,000 in grants has been approved, which has leveraged over $2,000,000 in downtown improvements.
Jeff Loney, manager of economic development says the town is excited to offer the opportunity to continue to assist businesses and property owners improve the look and viability of the downtown.
Eligible businesses or buildings must be located within the Community Improvement Area.
Projects must also follow guidelines which encourage a more cohesive and inviting look and feel in the downtown core.
Completed applications must be received before 4:00 PM on April 1, 2019
