Gravenhurst Warns Residents To Be Ready
The Town of Gravenhurst is advising residents to be prepared now for high water levels in lakes and rivers in the coming days. Todd Clapp, Gravenhurst community emergency management coordinator says “in the areas that are prone to high water levels annually, preparation is key to limiting damage.”
The Town of Gravenhurst has established three locations where sand/sand bags are available to residents that may be affected. Those locations include Cowbell Lane, Severn River Road East, and the Municipal Public Works Yard on Crawford Road.
Caroline Kirkpatrick, manager of operations for Infrastructure Services says that as water levels rise, staff may add additional sand/sand bag locations.”
The public is encouraged to check the Town’s website regularly for updates as the conditions change.
