Harnett To Run in Muskoka Lakes
Hunters Bay Radio volunteer Jason Harnett has filed his nomination papers to run in the municipal election in Muskoka Lakes. Harnett is seeking support to become the next Ward B Councilor for the area.
Harnett says he is passionate about this area, keen on helping residents, both year-round and seasonal, to access the support, services and information they deserve.
The 42-year-old is no stranger to the district, cottaging in Muskoka Lakes for the past 25 years and calling it home for the past five.
Professionally, Harnett has helped grow communications for the Town of Gravenhurst since 2014, and has been heavily involved in various regional issues including healthcare, transportation, tourism, economic development and emergency management.
As a Councilor, Harnett hopes to use his energy, enthusiasm, communications expertise and knowledge of the political and geographical landscape to help make informed and rational decisions at the table.
