Health Unit reminds parents to update immunization records

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is reminding parents of elementary students in Grades 3 to 5 to update their child’s immunization record as per Ontario's Immunization of School Pupils Act.
The health unit, along with local schools, is sending letters to over 10,000 families, urging them to ensure records are current to protect against vaccine-preventable diseases.
The health unit says parents need to report immunizations online at smdhu.org or through the Health Connection line. Families without a healthcare provider can book immunization appointments at local health unit offices.
