Hunters Bay Radio Seeks Permission To Improve Signal in South Muskoka
Last week Hunters Bay Radio submitted an application to the CRTC to improve our signal in South Muskoka.
Since our launch in 2014 the communities of Bracebridge, Gravenhurst and Muskoka Lakes have have suffered with poor signal quality, and the application is asking the CRTC to allow The Bay to add a repeater, providing a stronger signal at 104.7FM directed at those communities.
Our original application was to serve all communities in Muskoka and Parry Sound.
The CRTC has opened the application for comments from interested individuals and organizations until September 14th.
Hunters Bay Radio would welcome supporting comments by listeners who want local programming coming from our studios in Huntsville and Gravenhurst. Hunters Bay Radio is Muskoka's only locally owned radio station and plans to provide programming from a Bracebridge studio which is in the planning stages in 2019.

I am writing in support of application to the CRTC by Hunters Bay Radio, a not for profit community owned radio station to set up a repeater tower in South Muskoka which will improve my ability to reliably listen to the station at a new frequency.
I am pleased to support the endeavour. There is a need for a truly locally-focused FM radio station in my region and the efforts to provide local programs and to be able to listen would be a welcome alternative to commercial radio.
