Huntsville Considers Restricting Fireworks
The Town of Huntsville will be considering restricting the use of fireworks by the public. At today’s Protective Services Committee meeting, members will hear a recommendation from staff that would limit the use of fireworks in the town.
The Draft Fireworks By-Law, includes the following provisions:
- Consumer Fireworks can be set off from Friday through Sunday as well as Victoria Day, Canada Day and Labour Day, and New Years Eve and New Years day
- Consumer Fireworks shall not be permitted at any time from Monday through Thursday of any week
- no restrictions on the sale of fireworks
- no licensing/permitting requirements
