Huntsville Gives Final Approval For New Trail System
During Monday’s electronic town council meeting in Huntsville, Town staff presented a draft agreement for a multi-use trail at Hidden Valley. Town staff had proposed that the Town not support the agreement due to insurance concerns at June’s council meeting.
Huntsville Town Council however supported the plan and directed staff to work out an agreement and report back.
Town staff were able to work with their insurer, Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area and the Huntsville Mountain Bike Association to develop an agreement.
Council supported the motion for staff to enter into agreements for the purposes of developing and maintaining the publicly accessible mountain bike trails in Huntsville.
The trails will be accessible for bikes, hikers, walkers and bird watchers. There will be 2 trails of 4 km’s each for beginners and intermediate use.
