Huntsville Working To Fix Roads Affected By Heavy Rain
The Town of Huntsville’s Director of Operations and Protective Services, Steve Hernen provided an update yesterday on the recent rainfall in Huntsville and the major washout that has occurred on one the town’s arterial roads.
Hernen says significant rainfall over the last two weeks has impacted the town’s roadway drainage systems and caused a washout on Williamsport Rd.
Hernen says emergency barricades are in place on Williamsport Road as crews address a major washout and a failed culvert. Over the next few weeks, crews will be addressing the roads, repairing ditches, and road shoulders in our area that have been affected by rain.
Residents are asked to take caution in these areas, respect crews, be aware of soft shoulders and to drive safe.
