Hutcheson sets Guinness World Record
Huntsville’s Bob Hutcheson proved that despite age being just a number, it still matters when it comes to setting records.
In Hutcheson’s case, the now 94-year-old is the Guinness World Record holder for the oldest male water skier.
The waterskiing feat took place on July 19, 2019 on Bella Lake, when a 92-year-old Hutcheson at 92 years-old hit the lake and had a video of his ride made with his family cheering from the sidelines.
Eventually, the Hutcheson family contacted Guinness World Records to make the record official, with confirmation occurring on December 16, 2020 through a Zoom meeting with an official adjudicator.
