Hydro One To Improve Tree Trimming Cycle In Muskoka
Hydro One announced plans to invest approximately $16 million in more new technologies last week. In addition, the company will undertake more tree trimming to reduce the number, size and duration of power outages in the Muskoka region.
As part of Hydro One’s new program for trimming hazardous trees, corridors in the region will now be trimmed every 3-years instead of the original 8 to 10-year cycle.
The initiatives announced by Hydro One will help to address system reliability issues facing municipalities in Muskoka.
