January is Crime Stoppers month in Muskoka.
On Monday Leslie Woodley, Police Coordinator for Crime Stoppers Simcoe-Dufferin-Muskoka, and local volunteers raisied the Crime Stoppers flag at the Towns of Bracebridge and Gravenhurst.
Since 1987, Crime Stoppers Simcoe-Dufferin-Muskoka has grown to service a vast geographical area, encompassing 110,217 square kilometres and 534,203 residents. Crime Stoppers is a civilian, volunteer based crime fighting program which provides a way for the public to anonymously report information about crimes and criminals to the police.
On Monday, January 21, 2019, the Town of Huntsville will be raising the Crime Stoppers Flag. The Flag raising will take place at 12:00 p.m. at town hall.
