Klinck Secures Top Spot For District Chair
John Klinck has been acclaimed as the District Chair after nominations were closed last week. This will be Klinck’s third term in the top job in Muskoka.
Earlier this year, the District had been preparing for a municipal vote to elect the District Chair by the people, rather than District councilors. However, shortly after being elected, Doug Ford’s new government rescinded the election and returned to a vote by District Councilors.
Klinck had been joined by former District Chair Gord Adams and former Huntsville Mayor Hugh Mackenzie, who both withdrew after the government rescinded the public vote.
