LOB holds meeting on controversial Road License Agreement
The Township of Lake of Bays will be holding a public meeting on the controversial Roads License Agreement Program on Monday, September 9, at 1:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
According to the Township's website, residents utilizing an unopened road allowance are responsible for the road survey, which can cost several thousand dollars plus application fees. Other requirements include a liability insurance policy with coverage of at least $5 million for anyone using the road.
The Town says that residents can attend in person or join virtually via Zoom. This is a chance for the community to voice their opinions and concerns about the program. Comments will be reviewed by Council and staff before the end of the 180-day moratorium.
