Lots of Celebrations on Canada Day
Residents will be celebrating Canada throughout Muskoka tomorrow.
In Huntsville, the town is inviting residents to start the day at 9am at Muskoka Heritage Place (MHP) for Peameal Bacon on a Bun, followed by Canada Day Messages with local dignitaries at 10am, followed by cupcake treats and strawberry scones.
From noon until 6pm Hunters Bay Radio will be presenting The Bay’s Canada Fest, at River Mill Park – a free afternoon long, music festival featuring the Lake of Bays beer garden.
Then at 10pm, the Huntsville Fire Dept will be presenting their annual fireworks display over Hunters Bay.
In Bracebridge the annual Canada Day Fireworks will return this year, hosted by the Rotary Club of Bracebridge, however, the day will begin with late afternoon celebrations in downtown Bracebridge.
The celebrations will take place in Gravenhurst from 11 AM to 3 PM. There won't be any fireworks show, but there will be events happening all morning and into the early afternoon, including interactive tents set up by the YMCA and Gravenhurst Public Library.
The pilot project that will close Lock St. in Bala for the summer will be the location for Canada Day Celebrations starting at noon. Up until 2 PM, there will be a BBQ, live music, life-size board games, and a street fair.
