Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) is inviting the public to get involved in the next steps in the planning of future healthcare in the region.

MAHC’s Capital Plan Development Task Force is hosting a series of information sessions across the region the first week of March to provide an update on the progress of the Two Acute Sites model for the future, which includes emergency, inpatient and surgical services at each site, and present the design options for building the future Two Acute Sites model.

In Bracebridge, three options are being contemplated:

  • renovation and expansion of the existing building;
  • a new, replacement building on the existing site;
  • a new building on a greenfield (new) site due to existing land constraints.
