Major Projects On The Books In Bracebridge

Posted: 2020-02-11 08:00:23 By: hbr

The Town of Bracebridge has a number of major roads projects on the books for 2020.

During the latest Town Council meeting, Coun. Rick Maloney went over some of the bigger projects planned for District roads in the Town of Bracebridge.

The controversial plans for the reconstruction of Santa's village road are up for discussion. Maloney said residents can expect to see further consultation and discussion with stakeholders, and more specific plans coming forward in the next month or so.

Fraserburg Road near Colony Road is scheduled for rehabilitation this year. Maloney confirmed that the reconstruction will hopefully deal with some of the flooding issues the road has experienced in recent years.

Taylor Road in downtown Bracebridge is set for repairs, and the Bracebridge Lagoon will see $250,000 in upgrades.

On Highway 118, a four km section of road near Beaumont Drive will be resurfaced and given extra wide paved shoulders for cyclists.

Manitoba Street from Silver Bridge to Monck Road will also be resurfaced this year.
