Man Faces Three Charges Of Sexual Assault
Police have charged a man, after an investigation that saw two officers injured while trying to effect an arrest.
Police say that on Saturday, they were investigating a complaint of an unwanted intoxicated man at a residence in McKellar Township who allegedly sexually assaulted three people at the residence.
The suspect fled from police and after a short foot chase officers arrested the him with two officers injured in the process.
One officer received minor injuries while the other was transported by ambulance to hospital and is been treated for serious non-life threatening injuries.
22 year old Chris Schneider, of Point Edward, Ontario, was charged with:
- three counts Sexual assault
- Assault peace officer - cause bodily harm,
- Assault a peace officer,
- Fail to comply with conditions of undertaking given by and officer in charge,
The accused appeared for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on September 23, 2019.
