Meeting On Langmaid's Island Development Scheduled For June 2nd
A meeting over the fate of Langmaid’s Island is set for June 2 in the Lake of Bay Community Centre in Baysville.
During the most recent Muskoka District council meeting, staff circulated background on the project to develop the second largest island on Lake of Bays.
Currently, the 147-acre island is home to little more than an abandoned cottage and some associated outbuildings. The new plan calls for 36 new lots on the island and another two on the mainland. Those mainland lots are also slated to be the new location for more than 100 parking spaces.
The meeting begins at 9 am and is being co-hosted by the municipalities of Huntsville and Lake of Bays, as well as the District of Muskoka.
