Norm Miller MPP for Parry Sound Muskoka says that last week, the provincial government announced the creation of a new youth environment council, to provide young Ontarians in grades 9 to 12 with more opportunities to share their insights and ideas on climate change and other key environmental issues impacting the province’s future.

Miller says “Young people, for obvious reasons, care about protecting our environment so I am pleased to see that the new Minister of Environment, Conservation and Parks will be seeking their ideas and suggestions with regard to climate change and other environmental issues.”

Young people in grades 9 to 12 as of the 2021 school year can apply to be members of the consultation group by completing an application form on by August 4, 2021.
