Miller Implores People To Keep Social Distance & Safe Practices
Norm Miller, MPP for Parry Sound Muskoka says that he has been hearing stories of individuals who are not practicing social distancing and he said to those people, that you are risking not just your own health, but the health and even the lives of other people.
Miller says if you need groceries, please send one person. In the stores please follow social distancing practices, purchase only what you need and remember to thank the retail staff.
If you are returning from outside of Canada, you must self isolate for 14 days. You should not be directly interacting with anyone outside your immediate household. In this case you will have to ask someone else to pick up essentials for you and leave them at your door.
Miller says that on Wednesday, the Minister of Finance will deliver an Economic and Fiscal Update, a one-year plan that reflects the current environment and the actions the government is taking.
He says their approach will include increased resources for our healthcare system, direct support for people, and action to protect jobs and our economy.
Miller says that if you can stay home. If you are sick, stay home. If you must go out, practice social distancing, wash your hands regularly and try not to touch your face. If you have returned from out of the country or if you have any symptoms, stay home and self isolate.
