Miller Says Freezing Hunting & Fishing Licence Fees Good For Muskoka Parry Sound
Norm Miller, MPP for Muskoka Parry Sound is supporting his Government after announcing that they are freezing hunting and fishing licence fee increases and removing the $2 service charge.
Miller said “This will not only benefit the thousands of people in Parry Sound-Muskoka who hunt and fish but also the tourism businesses that rely upon hunting and fishing to attract visitors,” he said.
Hunting contributes more than $431 million to Ontario’s economy while recreational fishing contributes $2.2 billion.
In addition to freezing the fees, the province is promoting fishing by adding two new licence-free fishing events in 2019 on the weekends of Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
