Miller Says Gov't Is Making Licencing Easier For Hunters & Fishers
Muskoka Parry Sound MPP Norm Miller says his government has launched a better way for hunters and anglers across the province to get their Outdoors Cards and hunting and fishing licenses. Ontario is also working to make the moose draw fairer and simpler for hunters by updating its approach to managing moose.
“Hunting and fishing are important parts of our culture for many people in Parry Sound-Muskoka,” Norm said. “I am pleased our government has recognized that and is acting to make it easier for hunters and anglers to apply for licences.”
The new licensing service is easy to use, with new mobile features and a single Outdoors Card. It can be accessed online at huntandfishontario.com, at participating ServiceOntario locations or at one of over 700 licence issuers across the province.
Miller says that over the next two years the government intends to work with an advisory committee, which will review how moose tag quotas are developed and how hunters apply for tags. The review will examine ways of improving service while helping to maintain a healthy moose population.
