The Township of Muskoka Lakes is advising residents that water levels over the past 24 hours have risen approximately 3-4cm (1-2 inches) on Lake Muskoka, Lake Rosseau, Lake Joseph, and on the Moon River.

The township says that the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is beginning to reduce flows on the Muskoka Watershed north of Lake Muskoka. The reduction of flows from Kawagama Lake, Lake of Bays, Huntsville and Port Sydney will reduce inflows into Lake Muskoka and should translate to about a 3cm per day water level decrease.
