Muskoka Municipalities Receive $27,000 To Cover Additional Cost Of Transit Cleaning
Norm Miller, MPP for Parry Sound-Muskoka, announced on Friday that the province is providing $27,010 to local municipalities to cover additional cleaning costs of municipal transit systems due to COVID-19.
Miller said that “Public transit is important even in smaller towns like ours. It helps people get to work and go shopping or do errands. This funding will help ensure our municipalities can offer safe transit to the residents who rely upon these services and ensure drivers have a safe working environment.”
Bracebridge will be receiving $6,588, while Huntsville gets just over $8,000. The District will receive $9599 for their transit program.
