Muskoka to get access to Northern Ontario Funding
The Ontario government is investing an additional $30 million over the next three years into the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) to support economic development in Northern communities.
The funding increase will boost the NOHFC’s annual budget to $110 million starting in 2025-26, expanding its programming eligibility to include the District of Muskoka.
Minister of Northern Development, Greg Rickford, says this investment reinforces the government’s commitment to building strong northern communities and businesses.
MPP Graydon Smith, who says this has been a major priority for him, called the inclusion of Muskoka a significant step for economic development in the region.
